Colleen, I learn something from you daily. You teach others how to face challenges with grace and effect. Thank you for sharing your experience about such an unfortunate event as A Dove Shooting...you truly are an inspiration.
Thank you so much, Peggy. Every experience is an opportunity. Not all are as extreme as this one, but every moment, every interaction, every relationship offers opportunities to rise to be the people we want to be (and think we are). May it be so. :)
Most everyone knows that doves represent peace. They also symbolize love and loyalty (likely because of their monogamous nature and affectionate behavior towards their mates). In Christianity, the dove is a representation of the Holy Spirit. Sad irony.
Thank you, Colleen! This gives me so much food for thought and a new strategy for both my activism and personal relationships. I will be absorbing this for a while. Such a help. Appreciate you telling us your story.
I have read this story several times. To me, it’s a guidebook to compassion. It’s going to be something we all need to survive right now.
Thank you, Margaret. That was exactly my reason for sharing it here at this time. I'm grateful it's an aide to so many.

I love this story. Can't hear or read it enough! And I should reread before every snake event 🧡🐍 Thanks for sharing again
Thank you, Melissa. It's something I have to remind myself of all the time. xo

Sad irony indeed that is lost, I think, on no one. :(

That means so much, Valerie. I'm so glad it's helpful for you. xo
